3 Books That Will Open Up Your Mind.

Ever since I was younger, I have always loved to read, whether that be books, magazines and more recently blogs. It's so therapeutic, there is nothing I love more than settling down with a cuppa and a book. Over the years I have gained a pretty impressive collection of all different genres, it's hard to say what type is my fave (I am a sucker for a cheesy romance novel though). It's only within the past two years I started to read a lot of 'Self Help' and 'Spirituality' books and now I am a bit obsessed. I couldn't tell you exactly how many of these I own but I have narrowed it down to my favourite 3, these ones stood out for me and had the most effect.

1. The Secret - Rhonda Byrne

I am pretty sure everyone on this planet has heard of this book, it is by far one of my faves (obvs). This book basically covers the concept of The Law Of Attraction and how to apply it to your everyday life, it can be very life changing if you read it with an open mind. I feel like it's one of those books you have to read a few times before you fully take everything in but it's an interesting one and always makes me feel very motivated afterwards. I feel like it can really change your mindset and help you become the person you want to be.

2. F**k It : The Ultimate Spiritual Way - John C. Parkin

This one is probably my favourite out of the 3, it puts everything into perspective in the most simple way. It's all about letting go of attachment, struggles and worries and basically just saying fuck it to everything, we have one life so live it. The author has got a very witty sense of humour so prepare for some giggles. It's very well written from a guy who really knows his stuff, it is truly an amazing book with a straight forward yet heartfelt message. I think I ended up finishing this in one night but it's one of those that you keep dipping into every now and then. I think everyone should just say fuck it and grab a copy lol.

3. Notes On A Nervous Planet - Matt Haig

I read this book at a hard time in my life and it really did put a smile on my face. It does mainly focus on anxiety but I feel like everyone would benefit from reading this. This book highlights how social media/modern life/the news feeds our anxiety and how toxic it can really be. It's a quite light hearted book and just like 'F**k It' it brings a bit of humour into the things that put pressure on us and really makes you wonder why we worry over the littlest things. Although social media is an amazing platform, it can be a dark place at times and can bring a negative impact on us but this book made me realize how much I rely on my phone and how much time I used to waste on it. It can really help you open up your mind and just to appreciate life and love yourself fully without comparison.
