Birdies Bar & BBQ Birmingham Launch
Updated: Jan 30
It's cocktail o'clock. Happy hour if you like ;) It's finally here, the long awaited beach themed bar 'Birdies' has officially landed in Birmingham. We both got invited down to visit the bar before the public launch date on the 9th of August; we were the first people to see Birdies and we managed to snap some sneaky previews. It wasn't completely finished when we first travelled down to see the venue but we really got a feel of what they were trying to achieve and it was stunning.
The team at Bee Influence very kindly invited us to join them at the private launch party one day before opening its doors to the public. It's such a different concept and nothing like this has opened up in Birmingham before, which is why we were so excited to see the finished result. Located in the Custard Factory (next door to Ghetto Golf) it's the perfect hangout for a chilled night drinking cocktails with your besties. It really gave us holiday beachy vibes with their wide variety of fruity cocktails, amazing street food by Apocalypse Cow, great music and the beautiful decor was the cherry on top. So many Instagram-worthy walls and furniture such as palm trees and deck chairs, they really nailed it. Since we haven't had much sunshine in the UK so far, this is the perfect spot to get you in that summer mood.
We didn't get to try every cocktail obviously (although we would have loved to) because there was so much choice but there is definitely something for everyone. We did get to try the Birdies Bellini, Peach Tea Punch and Watermelon Dreams. They are all priced at around £7.50 each which is actually decent because they taste amazing and they really go all out on presentation (as you can see from the photo, the cocktail didn't last too long before we realised that we hadn't took any snaps). We got to taste the sweet chilli chicken and the halloumi wrap and they were delicious! The halloumi was gorgeous, Abbi being a big fan of cheese thoroughly enjoyed the wrap. We just wish the samples were a little bigger because they were that good.
The team at Birdies were very helpful, professional and friendly, they made sure we always had a drink in hand which we definitely were not complaining about. The thing we love the most about these events is meeting so many other people who share the same passion as us. We got to meet other fellow brummy bloggers and we also bumped into old friends which was lovely. We can't wait to visit Birdies again so that we can work our way through the rest of the cocktail and food menu! We are already planning our next visit.
